Services

Tax compliance, cross-border support and practical advice for individuals and small businesses with France and UK links.

French tax declarations

Filing your tax return, optimising reliefs available to you, providing support to accompany changes in your life circumstances, assets and relocation to France or abroad. I calculate your taxes, discuss the best options with you to lower your tax liability in a secure and legal way, making sure you have visibility on what your obligations are.

  • IFI declarations (Impôt sur la fortune immobilière): assessing your Wealth Tax position, looking at possible exemptions, calculating the liability
  • SCI declarations (société civile immobilière): filing your annual SCI declaration to the authorities
  • Managing taxes for your holiday rentals (Location Meublée Non-Professionnelle): the law is changing quickly in Europe for small holiday rentals. I keep you up to date on how this affects your revenue and how to make sure you are not overtaxed
  • Taxation of Lump Sums: what are your options? Let’s discuss them.
  • Trust, bank accounts, investments, assurance-vie and other financial assets declarations: ensuring you comply with French and UK law as well as international anti-money laundering legislation

UK self-assessments

I am a registered HMRC agent and can represent you in UK to file your tax returns, provide cross border tax advice for better tax planning and avoid double taxation.

  • French healthcare & S1 application: advice on how to access the French health system, making sure this doesn’t affect your taxes, guiding you on the S1 application
  • Ensuring you obtain a No Tax code in UK when applicable
  • URSSAF-PUMA claims: many expats in France have received a bill from URSSAF, I have successfully fought these attempts to make my clients pay more social charges in dozens of cases. Let me know if this affects you and we’ll look at exemptions together.

Advice on moving to France

I will help you navigate the French tax and healthcare system so that your relocation goes smoothly and you fulfil all the legal requirements to remain in France.

Residency status: it is very important that you are fully aware of your status with regard to the authorities, whether you are a EU or a non-EU national. You and your spouse might have a double residency status, this impacts your taxes.

Specialist support

  • Tax investigations & appeals: I have successfully accompanied claimants and obtained refunds of taxes where due, as well as argue against the unfair assessment of their tax situation by the authorities.
  • Application of Double taxation relief: I have in-depth knowledge of bilateral tax treaties and will assess how your salaries, dividends, capital gains, rental and other income will be taxed and what reliefs of social charges you can obtain.
Registration services for micro-entrepreneurs

I am registered with INPI to register your micro-entreprise, I will advise you on:

  • Which activities you can do in France
  • What National Insurance you will pay
  • How to register with URSSAF and the government portal so that you have a 360 degree view of your accounting and tax requirements
  • How to calculate your revenue and register for healthcare
  • Make sure you don’t lose out on existing exemptions for small businesses (income tax, business rates and National Insurance)
